Each time after a heavy downpour, the school compound gets flooded. Poor drainage seems to be the cause.

YB Dato' Abdul Raman B Suliman, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister Department accompanied by our LPS chairman, Dato' Yong Chye Seng, PIBG Chairman Mr Beh Swee Chiak and others, visited the school on 4th May 2007 to see first hand the problems of narrow, shallow and clogged drains behind the school compound and beyond.

After assessing the situation, YB Dato' Abdul Raman announced that a Flood Mitagation project shall be carried out to widen and deepen the drains from the school to the monsoon drain situated behind the hostels of neighbouring SMK Sri Perak and SMK Panglima Bukit Gantang. The project is estimated to cost about RM100,000.
