A chinese New Year open House, sponsored by the Board of Directors and the PTA of SMJK Hua Lian Taiping was held on 15 February 2008 at 8.00pm in the school hall. Many turned up including members of the board, members of the PTA, few people's representatives, teachers, support staff and their families and parents.  There were also presentation by the Chinese Ochestra of our school and the Wushu team.  Good food, good chats, good rapport and ang paos filled the night.
