Future Careers of Biotechnology in Malaysia
We are pleased to cordially invite you and your students to join the Biotechnology Seminar Series organized by the Faculty of Arts and Science, International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW). The main goal of this seminar is to promote biotechnology programme and to educate biotechnology students in this country about the importance of this field in their future careers. Nora Mohamed
Senior Vice President for the Industry Support Division
Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation Sdn. Bhd.
Nora is currently the Senior Vice President of Industry Support Division at Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation. She has 24 years of working experience in both private and public organisations. Started her career with Bioeconomy Corporation in 2009 and in the course of her employment, Nora has played a key role in building the local bio-based SMEs. Nora is responsible for the provision of advisory services, business support, and implementation of programs for the bio-based and agro-based companies in the area of funding, commercialisation, entrepreneurship, regulatory and human capital. Nora works closely with other Ministries and agencies for a synergistic effect to expedite the growth of the local companies and she has successfully implemented and executed programmes to build their solid foundation in the local market, preparing them to become global players.
Prior to joining Bioeconomy Corporation, Nora was the Deputy Director of Licensing at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, the regulatory authority overseeing the communications and multimedia sector in Malaysia. Nora began her career with Goodyear Malaysia Berhad and later continued her career at Ericsson (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
