The Preliminary State Challenge

Date:19.4.14 (Saturday)                                                          

Time: Registration :9.00 am

      Written Spelling Test :11.00 am – 12.00 noon (one hour)        

       Venue: Renaissance Hotel

      Participants who have registered for the SIR Challenge must be present and be punctual    

      for the registration. All the participants must be in full school uniform. Bring along your    

      stationery.

Brief procedure of the SIR Challenge.

1)      The written spelling test with begin when the Emcee says :Play the recording of the words now.

2)      The recording with start with the first word to be spelt,read its definition and  then use it in a sentence before saying the word again.

3)      Participants will have 20 seconds to write the word on the answer sheet.then,the next word with be presented in the same order.

4)      Once all the 30 words are presented,the recording with repeat all the wors again without the definition and sentence.

5)      The answers sheet are then collected for marking purpose.

6)      The top 100 spellers will be qualified to compete in the next round,the state challenge at KB Mall,Result will be notified later.
