SJK(C) Ave Maria Convent and SMJK Ave Maria Convent, Ipoh each received RM 50,000 from Huaren Education Foundation in a short ceremony which was held on the 15^th of February 2008 at Dato' Chin Pek Soo hall. The cheque was presented by Datuk Chew Wai Khoon to the principals of both schools.
