10. Presentation Options

With multimedia LCD projectors becoming increasingly affordable and portable they have become a very desirable technology. They come in three varieties Super VGA, xGA and sXGA.. xGA (1024 x 768) machines are sharper than sGVA machines (800 x 600) and sXGA (1280 x 1024) are even sharper still and are very useful when zooming in on detail.

Try and avoid large screen televisions unless they do not need to be moved and have a picture quality and size that works in classrooms. There is nothing more off-putting to teachers and students than trying to see the detail when there is none to be seen. Teachers would gladly sacrifice one or two new computers in order that students could see the web site you are talking about, see the power-point presentation, or watch the vide clip and see what is happening.
