It is very easy to add links to your web pages that let your readers play sounds. Yep, the solution is the obvious one that you've probably already figured out. If you wish, you can use this exercise to add some example links to sound files on your web page.

You can also add sound to your web pages by using more advanced techniques such as java, javascript, and Flash. For example, with javascript it is possible to play sounds of your choosing when someone enters or leaves your page, or when a person mouses over certain parts of the page. Granted, these techniques are more complicated than simply providing a link to a sound, but they provide the possibility of more elaborate audio effects.
