我校二十四节令鼓于2023年5月13日举行了一年一度的大扫除。这个活动的目的是重建那些破损的鼓，以及整理她们存放鼓设备的地方与环境。活动正式开始前，委员们向所有成员都简单的介绍了活动的内容并平均分配工作给各个小组，以提高办事效率。鼓队的前辈们将沉重的鼓放到了旧亭子旁边，而其他人则负责清洗设备，如鼓架、鼓环、鼓棒，甚至是前辈们所赢得的奖杯，并将它们整齐的存放在储藏室里。不仅如此，几位中四成员也齐心协力整理表演服，并将它们整齐了放回存放服装的箱子里。另一些成员则清洁体育馆储藏室里的设备。之后，她们还清扫了旧亭子和体育馆，以便所有学生都能在整洁的校园内活动及学习。更重要的是，新成员整理及清除鼓上的灰尘，并检查鼓是否有损坏，比如丢失的鼓环、丢失的字词、破损的孔洞，以及鼓底下的橡胶是否破裂。而其他的成员则用锤子和钉子将橡胶重新固定在鼓底下，找到额外的鼓圈并重新安装在鼓上。她们还使用了防蚁喷雾剂来消灭逼近鼓附近的白蚁。打扫结束后，她们将鼓搬回体育馆，并将它们整齐地堆放在一起。过程中，她们所有人都汗流侠背，但却因为成功完成了所有工作而感到愉悦及自豪。

     On 13 May 2023, our school’s  24th Festival Drum Society held its annual cleaning. The purpose of this activity is to repair broken drums and tidy up the place and environment where they store their drum equipment. Before the start of the activity, the committee members briefly introduced the objective of the activity to all members and evenly distributed the work to each group to improve work efficiency. The seniors of the drum team put the heavy drums next to the old pavilion, while others were responsible for cleaning the equipment, such as drum stands, drum rings, drum sticks, and even the trophies won by the seniors, and stored them neatly in the storage room. Not only that, several form four members also worked together to sort out the performance costumes and put them back neatly into the storage box. Others cleaned equipment in the gymnasium storage room. After that, they also cleaned the old pavilion and gymnasium so that all students can have a clean and tidy campus. Moreover, newcomers cleaned and dusted off the drums, while inspecting the drums for damage such as missing hoops, missing words, broken holes, and cracked rubber under the drum base. While other members used hammers and nails to re-fix the rubber on the bottom of the drum, find the extra hoop and reinstall it on the drum. They also used termite spray to kill termites that pose a threat to the drums. After cleaning, they carried the drums back to the gymnasium and stacked them neatly. All of them sweated a lot during the process, but felt happy and proud that they had successfully completed all the work.
