我校男少年军于2023年6月24日举行了厨艺大赛。本次活动宗旨是要让成员们提高烹饪技能，并在有限的时间内学会如何在户外营地等特殊条件下烹饪。此次的烹饪比赛于上午7时30分至9时30分在我学校的“Bilik Masakan A”举行。当天上午，全体成员在New Pavilion集合。唱完Anchor Song及聆听完由主席吕怡萱同学给予的烹饪比赛简短介绍后，每队队长带领队员们前往“Bilik Masakan A”。全部成员进入场地后，主席将准备好的食材分发给每队队长。每个小队拥有45分钟的时间来准备菜肴以及清理烹饪场所。这样做的目的是为了训练成员们时刻遵守纪律并学习如何在限定短暂的时间内按时完成所颁发的任务。之后，她们会将烹饪好的食物呈现给评委并解释准备这道菜的原因以及如何准备。此次比赛总共有五位评委，她们需要从创意、干净程度、味道等方面来进行打分并决出获胜者。各队竭尽全力，互帮互助，准备了一道道美味可口的佳肴。10分钟后，评委们对准备好的菜品给出了自己的意见而副主席张颖祈宣布了比赛的结果。 6个小组中有3个小组在比赛中取得了胜利，第一名的小组准备了意大利面，第二名的小组准备了营养汉堡而第三名的小组则准备了培根蛋面。

     On 24 June 2023, Boys Brigade of Penang Chinese Girls High School held a cooking competition. This event is aimed to train members to improve their cooking skills and learn how to cook in limited time and during special conditions such as in outdoor camps. Our cooking competition was held from 7.30am to 9.30am at our school’s ‘Bilik masakan A’. On that morning, all the members assembled at the new pavilion. After singing Anchor Song and listening to a short briefing about today’s cooking competition, squad leaders led their members to head to ‘Bilik masakan A’. Presidents distribute the ingredients prepared to every squad leader after all members enter the room. Each squad was given 45 minutes to prepare a dish and clean up their cooking place. This purpose is to train members to be disciplined and learn how to finish a task on time. After that, they present the food to the judges. When they present, they need to explain why they prepare this dish and how they prepare it. There are five judges who judge who is the winner by some aspects such as creativity, cleanliness, taste etc. All squads did their best to prepare a delicious dish, hoping that they would win. After 10 minutes, judges gave their opinions to the dish prepared and our vice president, Corporal. Teoh Ying Qi announced the results. There are 3 among 6 groups who won in the competition. The first place prepared spaghetti while the second place prepared a nutritious burger and the third place prepared a carbonara.
