在2023年8月19日，女童军们于中午三点至四点在我校凉亭举办了一场小型编结比赛。此次比赛的主要目的是为了训练女童军们的编结技巧，培养女童军们的耐心与时间管理。此编结比赛旨在积极鼓励学生展示他们的创意和想象力，她们可以通过选择不同的编织技巧和材料来创造独特的作品。参与此比赛的成员可以增长手工艺术技能，提升他们在编结、编织等方面的熟练程度。此外，编结比赛可以让学生突破自我，发觉自己的潜能，提升她们的自信心并鼓励她们在其他领域也能勇敢尝试，不惧失败。限定的比赛时长让成员学会在限定的时间内完成任务，借此也培养了她们的竞争意识和赛事精神。再者，通过参与编结比赛，她们能够与一群志同道合的朋友一起互相探讨，也丰富了她们的课余生活，抒发压力。总的来说，编结比赛能够通过手工艺术的方式来培养学生的创造力、技能、耐心以及与他人合作和竞争的能力，同时也能让她们获得乐趣和满足感。参赛者在比赛中只允许使用藤和木签，而胶水是被禁止使用的。她们需要在比赛现场使用木签和线来完成一座塔。比赛结束后，所有参赛者必须轮流报到并展示她所创造出的作品给裁判，中五高级女童军。作品的打分方式是根据其创意，编结和稳定性来评分，而获胜者也会得到相应的奖励以示嘉奖。

     On August 19 2023, the Girl Guides held a miniature competition at the pavilion of our school from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. The main purpose of this competition is to train Girl Guides' knitting skills and cultivate their patience and time management. This weaving competition is designed to actively encourage students to showcase their creativity and imagination as they create unique pieces by choosing from different weaving techniques and materials. Members participating in this competition can develop their craft skills and improve their proficiency in weaving and more. In addition, the weaving competition allows students to break through themselves, discover their potential, enhance their self-confidence and encourage them to try bravely in other fields without fear of failure. The limited duration of the competition allows members to learn to complete tasks within the limited time, thereby also cultivating their sense of competition and competition spirit. Furthermore, by participating in the miniature competition, they can discuss with a group of like-minded friends, which also enriches their after-school life and relieves pressure. Overall, miniature competitions can develop students' creativity, skill, patience, and ability to cooperate and compete with others through the art of crafting, while also allowing them to find fun and satisfaction. Competitors are only allowed to use rattan and wooden sticks in the competition, while glue is prohibited. They need to use wooden sticks and string to complete a tower on the field of play. After the competition, all contestants must take turns to register and show the works she created to the judge, middle five senior girl guides. The scoring method of the works is based on their originality, weaving and stability, and the winners will be rewarded accordingly.
