INVITATION TO UNIVERSITI SAINS MALAYSIA NATIONAL STATISTICS COMPETITION YEAR 2021 (NSC 2021)
The School of Mathematical Sciences Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) together with Mathematical Sciences Society USM is organizing the National Statistics Competition Year 2021 (NSC 2021). We sincerely invite you to participate in NSC 2021.
- The objectives of NSC 2021 are :

To cultivate the interest of students toward Statistics. |
| (ii) |
To train the students to think more critically and creatively to solve |
| |
statistical problems. |
| (iii) |
To encourage Pre-University students to continue their further study in Mathematics, especially Statistics. |

- The purpose of this event is to improve the proficiency of Higher-order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of participants. This competition is open to all Malaysian students who are in the age range of 18-21 years old, including those pursuing Pre-university courses as well as undergraduates. The topics that are included in the competition are data description, probability and probability distribution hypothesis testing.
