In conjunction with the Star-NiE sixth anniversary celebration workshops on 2nd October 2003, SMJK Sin Min sent two of its teachers. The workshops were held at Shangri-La's Golden Sands Resort at Batu Ferringhi. UK-based NiE specialist Mr. George Kelly and Star-NiE trainer Ms Teh Soo Choon conducted the workshops which were held to thank teachers for their continued support of the Star-NiE programme.
Kelly's workshop touched on "Creativity in the calssroom" - Refresh your approach, expand your ideas bank and extend your skills while Teh's session covered "Beyond The Book" - Bringing 'real-life' themes into teaching and learning.
